So about a month ago I was asked by a friend to help take pictures at a gala/fundraiser for the Ballet Fantastique (a local ballet company in Eugene). She was an intern with the company, and was put in charge of looking for photographers to volunteer and asked me and one other girl. I ended up agreeing because I thought that it would be good experience, plus I’ve been wanting to take more pictures again. The night was filled with musical performers, dancers, free wine and food. It was a lot of fun to be at and I’m happy with what I was able to get.

Even though this was a fundraiser (with people bidding well over $100 on cakes), it was also a chance for the company to promote their newest show that was going to debut the following weekend. The dancers performed some pieces live in the gala. Just think of a traveling circus
