In this crucial moment of need we should stand all together and do our best is the order of the day. Sindhi Association of North America (SANA) and World Sindhi Congress (WSC) (USA & Canada Chapter) have joined hands together and doing at their maximum. Nevertheless Sindh Doctors Association UK (SDA) along with parent organization Sindh Development Alliance (SDA) deserves lot of appreciation and encouragements for donating generously for the relief efforts.

Sindhi Sangat United Kingdom (SSUK) along with WSC (UK Chapter) have started a joint action. TRANSPORTATION is a big problem and hindrance for flood effected people. They can’t afford the huge fares of transport specially traveling from far-flung areas of Sindh to the major cities where there are more relief camps and interventions. It also believes that once the water level will settle down there will be nothing for them in their areas and their suffering will continue. Therefore is need to bring affected victims in Karachi – Sindh where civil society and government may do something for their settlement and employment.

SSUK and WSC have started a joint action and we have initially provided funds of £3575. Aim is to evacuate as many flood victim as possible to Karachi where plenty of relief efforts are already going on by different political & non-political friends. Our strategy focuses on free bus service to evacuate poor and needy victims from severely flood effected areas to take them to pre-identified camps in Karachi.

First bus brought families from remote areas of Sukkar and Shikarpur on 19/08/2010 and this will continue. One bus is costing approximately £300 per day, The aim is to run at least 3 buses per day.
