Aftab Kaloi: A man from Jhudo

By Hisam Memon, Shikarpur, Sindh

Rasoo Bux Palijo had lauched a Long March [29 days from sukkur to karachi], I think no one can forget that even ever occured ther in the history of Sindh. Its was successful joint struggle against Thal Canal and Kala Bagh Dam. I joined that march from Sujawal to Gharo…

then I went back to Shikarpur [my native land] to develop the web site, so did it myself.
I met a man there in the march, i cannot forget, he is neither beautiful nor tall, he was looking like a ploughman, his colour was dark wheatish, he had a bochhan on his should and wearing a cotton suit. It was night, when he was talking on Cosmos, and other scientific objects, equations and theories. I have remembered i joined his conversation and intuppted him some times, after concluding, I introduced myself to him and then asked him about himself. He told his name was Aftab Kaloi, he was a little zamindar in Jhudo. He was nice man and great revolutionary poet, he was not a poet but was singing himself in the march. I imparted his poetry in the web site of Long March…

  1. I must ask you because I have found aa course in bengali
that says Kaloi means the black one and that it is a namefor God Krishna: Kaloi egetar alo; The black is the light in universe.
I wonder if you can translate Kaloi to english?

    best wishes
