This issue looks like the Government imposing a policy on the citizens without the consent of the citizens. Doesn’t democracy mean that the state should be run according to the will of the people and that public representatives should take the people’s mandate as their basis for voting?

This policy shows clearly that it is not the will of the people which is governing, so who is ruling then?

Greetings from Ireland!
