An American came up with and formalised an idea I’d been instinctively working on. Mark Sissons and his ‘primal diet’. Worth googling and trying, he has a website and books (obviously making a buck from it, more power to him).

In brief: humankind in the earliest days ate from the land rather than the output of ‘food’ factories. A fresh carrot is food, a canned carrot not quite so. Clean water is a worthwhile healthy beverage, coca-cola something else entirely; that sort of thing.

I’ve not investigated in depth and am not a medic but I think it would be beneficial for diabetics—and yes, it’s also high fibre.

People totally under estimate the role fiber can play in not only preventling but also curing hemorrhoids. I wonder how many peopl suffer needlessly for years when ll they have to do is add more fiber and water to their diets.

Yes, that is true. Before this, I had read some article about Mediterranean diet that help to control their diabetes. It lower the risk of heart disease too. By the way, great article. Thanks for sharing :).
