With the recent barbaric act in Mumbai, it is quite evident that whatever Mr Hussain quoted was infact right. LET and JM who are banned since 2002 still have training camps in Pakistan and all those terrorists sneaked in to Mumbai from Karachi. There are many areas in Karachi where Taliban presence could be felt and all Pathans who are usually transporters and low wage earners are sympathizers of those Talibans fleeing from the NorthWest side of Pakistan. MQM is always blamed for violence which is not true as in the past the agencies use to create violence and jeopardize the Revenuve Engine of Pakistan. The ISI as we all know is also a sympathizer of Taliban as some of the elements in ISI have leaked some info to Talibans and that has been on Record in USA so no one can dent that, We must admit we are corrupt in all aspects and no one is loyal to his country. To eradicate the Talibanisation in Karachi, MQM and the City Government is working together and trying to get all the Pathan’s registered and check on their domicile to make sure we do not have any foreigners in Karachi, this led to a recent fling of violence in Karachi just days after the Mumbai carnage. Please stop hating MQM and look at the development that has been done to the Revenue Engine of Pakistan. President Musharraf was working with the US Govt but he was ousted by the unloyal people of Govt and bureaucrats, after his ouster, the reign of control of Pakistan is in the hands of Unloyal people who are corrupt and who will sell thier mother for money.

Altaf and his followers should keep in mind….the pro Taliban organizations like SSP and Jaish,Harkat etc…has no less than Pashtun Following in even the Muhajirs and Panjabis…MQM was caused much damage by his Haqeeqi segment…who were Muhajirs…and there will be a new alliance which will consist the anti Mutahida…elements united against them…

Taliban have no language….no ethnic identity…they are fanatics…If someone wanna prove every Pashtun to be Taliban…he is wrong…TALIBAN has no connection with Pashtuns…Infact they are victimized by Taliban…and now by threatening the people who speak Urdu…with Taliban..title…U are willing to make every Pashtun youngsters a Talib….
We are trapped at our territories…and now there the same extremists with liberal titles are trapping us here At Karachi….and ANP…here the local leadership are following the footsteps of MQM…with the same way of decorating the chowks with their large portraits…where every local leader has his pic larger than even Asfandyar Wali and Wali Khan(late)….Both MQM and ANP are arming their workers…and The Common Man…who cares…whether Pashtun or Muhajir

Dear All, Taliban is a threat not only to Pakistan but Islam it self.
Karachi already has suffered a lot,its almost ten years now that this city has seen a change and relative better law and order,development and stable political situation.
Unfortunately there are forces in Pakistan who never wanted to see peace and growth of this city, those forces are once again putting deaf ear to the threat of Talbinaization of this city and despite ground reality and evidences they are doing nothing to prevent and safe guard the city from the potential threat.
Its once again the time that karachites should stand united to save and prevent there city form Taliban terrorists.
May Allah bless us all and give us courage to fight back against those who are defaceing and defaming our religion on the name of so called Taliban style of Islam.

It is ironic that when MQM calls for weaponization it is blamed to be a terrorist party but every other party is weaponized since long.

It is true that the threat of Taliban has been created with very deep planning. It is aimed to corner Pathans and Afghanis in the city. ANP is obstructing this agenda and skirmishes have already started in the last few weeks.

It is also seen with clear vision that MQM has revolutionized the city progress and they have turned this city into paradise. Now even the tough oponnents of MQM are supporting them. In this situation any call from MQM would meet a huge success.

When people are behind any party it is difficult to oust it easily. For me, the wall is showing the signs of unbelievable bloodshed in the city. This time MQM is aiming to conquer the ground…Let’s pray may Allah make all of us safe..

i agree with you, .. the poor ppl of karachi who have been living under MQM’s fear for too long.and dont listen .. he probably also works for the killers. i hope some one comes and gets rid of the MQM. ever since they have come into power they have ruined karachi. .. to london main dar kaimaray beth gaya hai in ghareebon ki jaan lenay par tula hua hai

Dear Sir, You have mentioned in 1st paragraph that “Altaf had called the followers to sell TV and buy KK”. Can you please give me the reason why the followers of Altaf Hussain believed this call? From the above quote it is clear to me that at least before 80s followers of Altaf Hussain and Altaf Hussain too did not have any weopon, have you ever find the reason of retaining the weopon for any general public? Have you ever raise any voice against the beating to Altaf Hussain and other urdu speaking student of Karachi university before the establishment of APMSO and MQM?

As far as the Taliban in Karachi is concerned please read the story of Daily Dawn 26th June 2008 in Metropolitan, and if you are in Karachi visit to the Left side of the Kalapul area in which i have seen pro Taliban wall chalking. this is the less Taliban dominated area i can imagine the most dominated area of Taliban in Karachi.
