The capital city of Sindh Karachi was sealed with containers and police forces and fear was created by Government Machinery since last two days. “Many killing are likely hence Govt can not allow Awami Tehreek (AT) for Layari Rally”. Besides all that AT did what they planned.
It is no doubt a well-done by to Awami Tahreek who broke the chains of fear of people to walk on Karachi roads for the political rights which was created by fascist terror mafia since 22 May. Congratulations to Ayaz Latif Palijo for this great break through and this great success of people over terrorism. Hundreds of thousands people pay homage to martyrs of 22 May in Lyari Usman park and stood against illegal orders.
Today, from morning 10 am to 8 pm, Net has provided following updates
Awami Tahreek public meeting for City peace today
KARACHI-The Awami Tehreek and Karachi City Alliance will hold a public meeting in Gabol Park in Lyari today.
The public meeting is aimed at raising voice against the ongoing violence and terrorism and bring peace in the city as well as to pay tribute to those killed in an attack on the Muhabbat-e-Sindh rally on May 22 in the City.
According to a statement issued here on Saturday, the Awami Tehreek spokesman Noor Ahmed Katiar said that the public gathering would be held at Shaheed Rehman Park Lyari, known as Gabol Park today at 4pm.
Awami Tahreek’s central president Ayaz Latif Palijo and Karachi City Alliance Chairman Sardar Uzair Jan Baloch and other leaders will address the public gathering.
The invitations have been extended to the political and religious parties to participate including Jamaat e Islami, Awami National Party and other groups for the public gathering.
The people from the other districts of the province will reach in caravans of buses, who will assemble in Lyari to pay tributes to those killed in Mohbat-e-Sindh rally.
It may be noted that the Awami Tehreek and other parties had blamed the government and its ally MQM for the attack on the Mohbat–e-Sindh rally. However, a public meeting is again being convened in Lyari to condemn the killings and lawlessness in the City.

KARACHI, July 14: The Awami Tehrik (AT) on Saturday appeared determined not to defer its plan to hold a public meeting in Lyari on Sunday as the government has not yet issued it permission for the proposed assembly.
The party announced recently that it would hold the rally to remember the victims of the armed attack and violence during the May 22 ‘Mohabbat Sindh’ (Love Sindh) rally it had organised with the support of some other parties and groups.
Attended by leaders and supporters of People’s Amn Committee (PAC), and some other nationalist parties, including AT, the rally was held against what was stated to be “a movement for division of Sindh by creating a Mohajir province (Jinnahpur)”.
Gunmen attacked participants in the rally with firearms, killing and wounding several people. The attack provoked further violence in the old city areas. At least 11 people were killed and many others were wounded in the attack and violence.
The AT has convened the Sunday public meeting in Gabol Park, Lyari, to remember the victims.
It said that AT chief Ayaz Latif Palijo and PAC leader Uzair Baloch would speak at the meeting.
The Sindh government has, however, made it clear that no permission was given to the AT for the public meeting or rally anywhere in the city.
SSP-South Asif Ejaz Shaikh told Dawn that no permission was granted for taking out the rally.
Mr Palijo made clear that the public meeting would be held at the scheduled hour in Gabol Park and he would address the gathering despite the fact that the PPP government had issued his arrest warrants.

KARACHI: Sindh Home Ministry on Sunday issued an arrest warrant for Awami Tehreek (AT) leader Ayaz Latif Palijo a day before his party’s scheduled rally in Lyari, SAMAA reports.
The AT is going to hold ‘Shaheedan-e-Muhabbat-e-Sindh Jalsa’ on Sunday at Gabol Park, Lyari, almost two months after the party’s anti-Mohajir province rally was attacked by unknown gunmen in the city’s locality, killing 12 people.
The incident had triggered violence in the city and strikes and protest demonstrations throughout the Sindh.
Sources said the warrants were issued by the government after it banned all public meeting in the city for five days, in the wake of a possible unrest in the city.

KARACHI: Hundreds of people attended Awami Tehrik’s public meeting in Karachi’s Lyari locality on Sunday, despite Sindh government’s 5-day ban on public gatherings in the city, SAMAA reports.
Most of the attendees were residents of Lyari, considered to be PPP’s stronghold, who flocked to Gabol Park despite tension in the locality.
The participants were carrying national and party flags in their hands and chanting slogans in support of AT central president Ayaz Latif Palijo against whom the Sindh Home Ministry issue arrest warrants on Saturday night.
JI Sindh president, Asadullah Bhutto, the Awami National Party (ANP) leader Bashir Jaan, banned Peoples Aman Committee (PAC) leaders, Sardar Uzair Jan Baloch and Zafar Baloch also addressed the gathering.
“The object of holding their gathering is to raise voice against the ongoing violence and terrorism in Karachi and bring peace in the city as well as to pay tribute to those killed in attack on our Muhabbat-e-Sindh rally on May 22,” Palijo said while addressing the rally.
In their speeches, the AT leader and others blamed the government and its ally MQM for the attack on the Mohbat–e-Sindh rally, condemning lawlessness in the city.
“We will not let the Sindh province dismember…We are not against any community but we are only opponent s of policies of MQM which is not representing the Urdu speakers,” Palijo said.
He flayed government authorities for issuing his arrest warrants and attempting to stop the rally by placing containers in the Red Zone.
“The government is turning a blind eye to MQM, but we make it clear that none will leave the city. Karachi is everyone’s city and speakers of all languages are our brethren.” — AGENCIES
