Originally what this person approached me for was if I could do a watercolor illustration of the building. I let them know that I wasn’t confident in my watercoloring skills, but I would be more than happy to help draw the building. This ended up working out, since she was pretty experienced with watercolors. I suppose it was just a coloring page commission in the end

It has been a while since I’ve drawn a building. Luckily, the front of this building was pretty flat and symmetrical, so I didn’t have to worry about perspective. The main challenge was scaling the different features of the front of the building. From windows to trims.

In the end, I like how it turned out. It was also a nice change of pace from what I’ve been drawing a lot of lately.
