Karachi – Sindh: Two JSQM activists killed in rally

KARACHI: Two activists of Jiye Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) were killed and several others injured as some unidentified persons opened indiscriminate fire at JSQM rally at D A Asphani Road, ARY NEWS reported on Friday. According to the police, JSQM workers Friday held protest rally against the killing of party worker some two weeks ago and demanded for arrest of the culprits.

The rally marched through the city and when reached the D A Ashphani Road, some identified started firing at rally due to which a JSQM worker was killed and several others left injured.

The injured were shifted to local hospital where another person succumbed to injuries.

Meanwhile, violence broke out across the economic hub of the country after the dual murder of JSQM workers.

Violent incidents erupted in interior parts of Sindh following killings of the party workers in its rally.

Enraged people ransacked property and forced the closure of shops and markets in many parts of Sindh.

Later, the JSQM has announced two-day strike across Sindh to protest the murders.
