There are no boundaries of grief was perceived to me. There are no limits of ego were unknown to me. Many of us might have heard about barbarity of old times. But when we find the same inhumane attitude in 20th century, we certainly would be shocked. Such act of brutality is not taken by an ordinary person but regretly to quote the illegitimate deed is taken by a MNA from Sukkur, Sindh.

The incident reveals that a youth named as Ghulam Muhammed Brohi who is MSc and is resident of village Arain near Sukkur was illegally detained by Police, lodged an FIR & sent to jail at fake allegation of keeping unlicensed rifle in compliance to order of a MNA from Sukkur only at the pretext for not saluting the him. The visitor who came to see the said watch man was also taken away by the police.

As per details a youth Ghulam Muhammed Brohi bearing qualification of MSc tried a lot for acquiring any suitable job but could not. Having been gone under all severities of unemployment he finally succeeded in achieving a job of watchman in a private company. He was posted at M.D office situated in Muslim Society Sukkur quite opposite to MNA. Reliably learnt that whenever the said MNA visited his home GM Brohi neither salute him nor stood in reverence because when he was unemployed, he used to visit him for job.

He repeatedly tendered the requests for the same purpose but was responded with “yes” which practically proved “no” to him. MNA expressed his unpleasantness & annoyance calling him arrogant & proudly. He was questioned for not offering salute to him.

It is learnt that the said Minister arrived at his residence to discuss with DIG Police pertaining to security measures at Benazir Bhutto’s death anniversary on 27-12-2012. As they both moved from his home, the watch man GM Brohi did not stand up nor paid salute to as usual. With in moments of time the escort vehicle of police returned back & picked him along with company gun. They did not spare even a visitor Aijaz Brohi. It is heard that an FIR at Police Station Abad, Sukkur is registered against GM Brohi for retaining illegal rifle where as the other one Aijaz Brohi is disappeared. The brother of victim Muhammed Siddique Brohi has filed a petition in SHC Sukkur Bench against such unscrupulous & atrocious act of Police.

Is this omen of being democratic? If our Ministers who advocates themselves as champions of democracy & tolerance –they pretend to be modern if serve common man in this way then we would never neither demand democracy nor would like to see such dreadful people in power.
