Mr. Husain Haqqani -An inspiration to young leaders

Prominent Journalist, Editor, Spokesperson, Commenter and Correspondent, Mr. Husain Haqqani currently holds the position of Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States. Prior to this, he has held numerous important designations. To name a few, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Sir Lanka, Minister of State and Federal Secretary for Information and Broadcasting are some of the positions he held in the past. Mr. Haqqani is also recognized as one of the youngest people to serve as Pakistan’s Ambassador abroad.

Apart from being a dynamic man with an impressive personality he has a number of outstanding achievements to his name and has worked for Pakistan and served internationally at various fronts. He has remained spokesperson, special assistant and campaigner for members of the Pakistani Government from time to time. During his tenure he has represented Pakistan in international forums such as the SAARC and Common Wealth Summits. He has also personally accompanied the heads of the state on their official visits to other countries for talks and negotiations.

He represents Pakistan as well as the Muslims worldwide through his writings and work. Moreover, he has frequently been invited to comment upon and discuss issues regarding Pakistan, South Asian affairs, Afghanistan, Islamic politics and radicalism on various TV news channels which include the likes of BBC, CNN, NBC, PBS, CBS and ABC.

Besides being an Ambassador, he teaches at the Boston University as Associate Professor for International Relations, he is co-chair of a project at Hudson Institute Washington DC. Along with this, he has to his credit hundreds of articles in newspapers, magazines and journals and is regularly involved in research and analysis work pertaining to politics, Islam, government, and others.

He is an inspiration not only for the youth of Pakistan but for the youth worldwide.
