Sindhi is included in U.S. Army Recruitment program

This is very good opportunity for folks who are here in the U.S legally to get their citizenship while serving the Country.
Recruitment opens from 23 Feb 2009 for 6 months in New york city only. You do not have to be NYC resident.
If you are a health professional, you have a perference in selection and there is a different quota.
Sindhi, Punjabi, Urdu and Pashto have been included as one of the requirement to join; here are basic requirements to qualify;
1. Age-17-41
2. applicants must be in a non immigrant legal status category
(B1/B2 visitor is not qualified)
3. Typical documents to prove legal status will be as follows-Valid,
unexpired foreign passport and one of the following, I-94 card, I-797,
DS-2019, IAP-66, I-20 or other valid unexpired employment authorization
4 . Education-Must be a High School Diploma (TIER 1) Graduate or higher. If
education credentials are from a foreign school, must have their documents
translated and evaluated by a State board of education or any degree
granting College or University listed in the AIPE or NACES.
5 . Must have had legal status for at least the last 2 years with no more
than a 90 days absence from the United States during the two years period
immediately preceding the date of enlistment.
6. Social Security number is not required.
This is a 6 month test program with extension upto 2 years.
