If something is missing from your life, don’t look to Buddha, look to yourself

Bhuddha was eighty years old when he died. Many aspects of Buddhism, clearly inspired by the life of Buddha himslf. Buddha’s enlightenment was the result of his own determined efforts and Buddhists are taught that the same is true of their own enlightenment, they are the sole responsible for their efforts and no one else. If something is missing from your life, don’t look to Buddha, or to the people around you, in other words look to yourself. The ancient Buddhist texts contain a prophecy of another Buddha to come. He currently resides in the Tutshita (Heaven), and his next incarnation will be the last.

  1. yes make islands of yourself, though to
    comprehend the task of maitreya
the future began the day the buddha-makhimsih
    returned to his solar home.
    maitreya

  2. Yes, you’re right. The Buddha, before he died, told his disciples to “make islands of themselves”, meaning they had to take care of themselves after he was gone.

The next Buddha to come, the one in Tushita Heaven, is Maitreya Bodhisattva, but he will not come for thousand or millions of years.

    Cheers!
