SANA: Vision and Responsibility-2008

.. SANA has many objectives and goals. I know that all of them are very important and very noble. Personally, I feel that we (the overseas Sindhis) are very fortunate. We owe a lot to people of Sindh. We need to do something concrete for people back home.

There is so much that ought to be done. We can and should do so many things. Let me just mention SCHOLARSHIPS. Scholarships to needy and deserving students can provide a great start to them. In few years time, each student can stand on own feet and become a viable member of our community.

I know that we have FAME through which we give about 40 (?) scholarships every year. BUT MY GOAL AND VISION IS 100,000 (one lakh) SCHOLARSHIPS EVERY YEAR. I feel that $10 per month is plenty through high school. $20 per month can put some one through college in Sindh.

With 100,000 scholarships every year, we (THE SINDHIS) can turn the face of Sindh and Sindhis in 10 years. IMAGINE, HOW MANY LAKHS WILL BENEFIT.

I know that the goal is very ambitious. HOW MANY SINDHIS CAN AFFORD TO GIVE $10 PER MONTH FOR SCHOLARSHIPS? HOW MANY CAN GIVE $50 PER MONTH? HOW MANY CAN GIVE $100? $500? SOME WELL TO DO PROFESSIONALS CAN EVEN GIVE $1000 PER MONTH.

I know that SANA cannot do it all. But if we make it our vision and work with all Sindhis in Sindh and abroad, we can make a dent. Under this vision, every one will be free to give any amount of scholarship to any one of own choice, at any level of education, in any part of the world. JUST GIVE SCHOLARSHIP WHICH LEADS TO EDUCATION, MANPOWER DEVELOPMENT, JOBS, FAMILY BUILDING AND SINDH DEVELOPMENT. AS A PART OF SANA‘S VISION, I PROPOSE THAT WE MAKE A COMITTMENT TO HELP REACH 100,000 SCHOLARSHIPS FOR SINDHI STUDENTS EVERY YEAR.

Your input and help towards development of Sindh is always welcome. PLEASE GIVE SCHOLARSHIPS TO AS MANY DESERVING STUDENTS AS YOU CAN.
