Hello all!
So, guess who is going to try and revive this blog + my facebook fan page? *this kid*
First off, I will have to update you all on my life…
As of right not I am a proud graduate of the University of Oregon *Go DUCKS!*
(Yes, the same school that Aston Eaton (Olympic Decathlon winner))
I am the videographer for the marching band at UofO, and I am also the graphic artist at a local sign shop.
The work there is pretty easy, but I like it a lot, and the people there are awesome.
What’s the reason behind the new computer?
Well, basically for the marching band I will be needing final cut to do some editing, and personally, I HATE having to go to the computer labs on campus, and bringing all of my stuff with me. Now I can just happily edit at my apartment where I have everything with me. Since there is no good video software for my PC to use, Final Cut was the answer. And thankfully my parents were willing to help me get this Macbook as a graduation present 🙂
As cool an nifty.. and quick.. and “able to survive for longer than an hour on the battery” as my Mac is, I’m still a pretty committed PC person (I’ve had my PC for the past 4 years), it has all of my programs and other files on it. I’m so used to it, and it has been loyal to me.
However, I am grateful for this Mac. I’m not sure how I would get work done without it.
Other things that I have been doing is making vinyl stickers outta scraps at work. So far I’ve only got some pokemon ones going on, but I plan on doing a lot more.
If it’s successful, I may start selling them (if I’m not lazy to think of pricing, payments, staying updated).
In any case I will figure it out.
Anyway, that is my life right now 😛
I will probably be changing up the layout of this blog soon enough.. once I decide whether or not to stick with “A Funny Thing We Call Art”, or start to work on a new name.
We’ll see.
