President SANA Visiting Sindh

Dr Valeed Shaikh, President of Sindhi Association of North America (SANA) was here in Sindh for couple of days and had meetings and discussions with various friends from different walks of life including political leaders, writers, intellectuals, civil society activists, development practitioners and artists.
Those includes Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Speaker of provincial Assembly of Sindh, writers Amar Jalil, Siraj Memon, Ibrahim Joyo, Mazhar-ul-Haq Siddiqi and others, President SANA extended formal invitations of Silver jubilee Convention of SANA in July 2009 at St Louise.

He was invited by Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Speaker of Provincial Assembly of Sindh in his office, where Dr Valeed has also invited him for the coming Silver jubilee Convention of SANA in July 2009 at St Louise.

In speakers chamber we had a great discussion with other guests including Jam Mehtab Dahar ([provincial Minster), Anwar Mahar, Nasarullah Balouch, Munawar Abbasi, Dr Sikander mendhro, Sattar Rajpur, Mir babu (all PPPP MPAs), some other minister from ANP and PPP, Naseer Memon, Ali tauqeer Sheikh, Hina Lotia and others.

He has also attended one of the session of “Summit on Climate Change” with legislators in Sindh Assembly Building where one of the authors of Nobel Prize Winner, International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Report, Dr Adil Najam was the main speaker on “Climate Change threats and Pakistan”

In Hyderabad we also had an exellent brain storming session on the current political and socio-economic situation of Sindh and Pakistan, where Professor Aijaz Qureshi, Ghulam Nabi Mughal, Nazeer Essani, Mehmood Laghari, Aslam Balouch, Mr. Jaffari, Dr Fateh Marri, Ali Aakash and others were present.
