Here are a few sketches that I tried to work on… I think I would really like to stick to the sketchy feel stylistically cause I like the evidence of movement in sketches…
As of right now though, I need to find some good reference pictures to help me feel out what I want to draw. I don’t like copying directly, but it sure helps to have something to look at. Flying is especially difficult with this first song:
I also have made note to myself to keep with my own interpretation of it while mixing it with what the musical piece was written for. So, for instance, instead of the fighter pilot flying, it’ll be me (or some other character).. and add elements of a WWII fighter pilot who flies high in the skies beyond where and eagle and lark ever would.
This next sketch was for Methuselah. OLDEST MAN in the Bible. I kinda like how this sketch turned out, even though it’s practically a doodle for me. The tree is sort of related to Methuselah, but I was also thinking of using it for October… somehow.
