I first came onto the volunteer force at Oregon Supported Living Program’s Arts and Culture Program (OSLP) in the summer of 2013. At first I started with photographing class work and painting over donated canvases, but after a little change in management I was approached about what else I wanted to get out of the volunteer experience. I mentioned that I wanted to gain more graphic design experience, and with that I was tasked with many projects. I ended up volunteering for 2 years designing flyers for their gallery shows and quarterly classes, and was humbly awarded the “Volunteer of the Year” award in 2014.
