SINDH NEEDS INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT

by Dr Ali Akbar Dhakan, Karachi, Sindh

All the macro economic objectives can be obtained through the development of industries both small and large scale because they provide employment facilities, increase supply of goods, boost up exports, control inflation and price hike, reduce poverty and provide chances of prosperity through improvement of purchasing power of the common people .The problem of unemployment in Sindh particularly in Rural areas is due to lack of focus and attention to be given to the development of this sector.

It is the need of the hour to look into this problem by Government and people of Sindh to enhance the opportunities of investment in rural Sindh for which the present law and order situation is to be improved through the deployment of honest and hardworking and God fearing district police officers if they fail to control the situation they may be held responsible and removed from their services because without any check and balance, no good Governance can be achieved .Because it is up to the Government of the time to take serious action and maintain law and order situation and no political or feudal system may be allowed to come in the way of maintaining certainty and peaceful atmosphere. The principle of might is right may be vanished. Till the industrial development at the both sides of pakka roads in Sindh is ensured, no exchequer of Sindh Government may be spent on the luxurious and wasteful schemes like the new proposals of establishing a new township in Thatta distt. which hopefully will not bring any kind of prosperity for the already devastated people of rural Sindh. For God sake this proposal may be taken as an honest advice having no sort of political objectives.
