So, I’m from Hawaii, and for graduation we make leis!!! There’s actually only 1 kinda lei that I know how to make (or that I still remember) and it’s the braided ribbon lei.
Being without a car though, I ended up going to a stationery store near my work and bought a bunch of craft ribbon. These ribbons are ADORABLE!!! So as you can see, I bought quite a few different ones. There’s also a lot of green cause that’s one of the school’s colors!
Anyway, continuing on~
The rolls are only 4 feet long, so I had to combine 3 of them to make up one side of the lei. So in total I needed 6 rolls per lei, unless I used the long roll of yellow. To combine them I sewed them together. A little tedious, but it worked!

I guess to be clear, this is not a “how-to” guide. However, here is a lovely video made by Ben Franklin crafts (a popular craft store back home) that can show you how:
Anyway, I’m glad that I used the printed craft ribbon because it all came out SUPER CUTE!!! Here are a few of the leis that I made. I love how they came out.
