Celebrating 25 Years of SANA: Extraordinary Success Story of Overseas Sindhis
by: Aziz Narejo, TX, USA
The members of the Sindhi Association of North America (SANA), feel extremely proud today as they gather in St. Louis, MO to participate in the Silver Jubilee Convention marking an important milestone in the distinguished history of the organization. It is an occasion to celebrate 25 years of the organization’s continued service to the community and also an opportune moment to take stock of things, learn from experience and continue march into the future.
During last 25 years, SANA has not only provided a platform to Sindhi community in North America to get together, socialize and communicate with each other, it has also helped the community members to keep in touch with their roots in Sindh and tried to preserve and promote Sindhi language and culture. It has helped the community members introduce “Sindh” and the “spirit of Sindh” to our children born in North America.
SANA has also connected the Sindhis in North America to the people in Sindh, standing with them in their trials and tribulations, sharing their concerns and being part of their struggle for democracy, rule of law, justice, fair play and rightful share in the country’s resources.
One can say with full confidence that SANA is the finest overseas Sindhis’ organization. It has made all Sindhis proud.
