More than 40 people have been killed and dozens injured in a suicide bombing on a ‘Youm-e-Ashur’, the 10th day of Muharram in Karachi, officials say. Rioters torched dozens of shops and vehicles, while members of the security forces who had been guarding the procession were pelted with stones. The bombing unleashed further pandemonium as angry mourners fired shots in the air. More than than 400 businesses and lot of vehicles set on fire.
